Coffee houses have been around for hundreds of years in London and even longer in other parts of the world. They have been renown as places to gather and debate the issues of the day. We continue this tradition with a global reach via the internet.
The debates on the environment are the issues of our time and exist at all levels, local, regionally and globally. At The Coffee House we aim to inform, learn and encourage debate on environmental issues. Debate is an essential part of finding solutions to the many challenges facing our world. All readers are encouraged to join in.
A note regarding the use of images on this blog;
‘Blogging is a 24hr world. A post put up on a blog is read today, gone tomorrow, especially if it’s topical, in the news. To keep up in this world of blogging, if one wants to use an image found on the internet, it is difficult to trace the creator or owner of that image in a reasonable time frame and sometimes impossible. Google Images for example appears not to link photos to the original uploader.
It is the policy of The Coffee House to remove an image from the blog if the owner contacts us and asks us to do so. We use images to add context and colour to the blog, not to aid profit. No money is made from the Coffee House blog. The blog is for debate and education on important environmental matters.’
