About The Coffee House

Coffee houses have been around for hundreds of years in London and even longer in other parts of the world. They have been renown as places to gather and debate the issues of the day. We continue this tradition with a global reach via the internet.

The debates on the environment are the issues of our time and exist at all levels, local, regionally and globally. At The Coffee House we aim to inform, learn and encourage debate on environmental issues. Debate is an essential part of finding solutions to the many challenges facing our world. All readers are encouraged to join in.

A note regarding the use of images on this blog;
‘Blogging is a 24hr world. A post put up on a blog is read today, gone tomorrow, especially if it’s topical, in the news. To keep up in this world of blogging, if one wants to use an image found on the internet, it is difficult to trace the creator or owner of that image in a reasonable time frame and sometimes impossible. Google Images for example appears not to link photos to the original uploader.

It is the policy of The Coffee House to remove an image from the blog if the owner contacts us and asks us to do so. We use images to add context and colour to the blog, not to aid profit. No money is made from the Coffee House blog. The blog is for debate and education on important environmental matters.’

Would you like to check out my environmental blog at http://timethief.wordpress.com I would like to propose a link exchange and in anticipation of a “yes” answer from you I have already added your blog to my blogroll. I began my blog in April and it currently has a page ranking of “5”.

Great Blog, just came across it in my hourly scouring of the global warming according to google!

Wondering if you want to swap links, I am looking for some good environment focussed bloggers to add to my list.

    Hi Matt,
Didn’t see a contact email address, so forgive the odd means of contacting you. I work with Kevin at DeSmogBlog, and I’ve got a non-public query I wanted to send you. Could you please shoot me an email with your email address, and I’ll send it along? Thanks.

  5. I am new to blogging and found yours while surfing from blog to blog.

Yours is amazing and the detail on it is obviously really well researched. You clearly know your stuff.

We ignore all this at our peril (in my humble opinion)

We would like to do an interview with you about your blog for
http://www.BlogInterviewer.com . We’d like to give you the opportunity to
give us some insight on the “person behind the blog.”

It would just take a few minutes of your time. The interview form can
    be submitted online at http://bloginterviewer.com/submit-an-interview

    Hi Matt!

Thanks for a fantastically relevant blog. I found you using Comment Sniper. Your blog makes that irritating piece of desktop software bareable!
My blog is environmental as well, but I put a cynical slant on news rather than a journalistic approach.

  9. Hello,

My name is Daniel Fielding. I was wondering if you ever accept guest posts or include links to green issues on the Coffee House website. The most current issue I am trying to promote are efforts being made to make future Olympic Games more sustainable for the environment, the first of which will be seen in London in 2012. I have been looking to reach out to other green bloggers to see if we can do any cross promotion. Please shoot me an email if you think you’d be interested.

    Thanks!

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something which I think I would never understand.
It seems tooo complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next
post, I will try to get the hang of it!

excellent information in support of visitors.
